Why are you still angry?

"Understanding this... be slow to get angry, for human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires" (James 1:19-20)

Anger can give a large surge of energy that makes you react in ways that you normally would not. When it gets out of control, it turns into a rage that can have a very negative consequence for you and those around you. Anger can induce powerful emotions, which can also trigger violent feelings. These emotions can be made worse, and are more likely to lead to violence and all manner of sinful behaviour. It is therefore important to maintain control over your feelings.

The Word of God put it this way, in Ephesians 4:26-28- "and don't sin by letting anger control you. Don't let the sun go down while you are still angry for anger gives a foothold to the devil"

Beloved, more than ever before - "now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behaviour, slander and dirty language" (Col 3:8, 12-13). Because this is pleasing to God.

Prayer point: Forgive me Father for allowing myself to to nurse this hurt for so long that it has become a powerful surge of anger within me. Please take it away today for I totally release it to you, Lord Jesus.

God bless you. Love, Joy and Pease forever.
With love,
Pastor Kenny and Pastor Kemi
